Subject: Those Were the Days' 44th anniversary

This Saturday, April 26, Those Were the Days celebrates 44 years of sharing
the Golden Age of Radio with listeners around the world-and we hope you'll
join us for an afternoon of anniversary radio, with four shows all devoted to
anniversaries of their own, including Fibber McGee and Molly's salute to the
25th anniversary of NBC, a salute to the 20th anniversary of world news
broadcasts on CBS, and the 10th anniversary broadcast of "The Voice of
Firestone." The celebration begins at 1:00 pm CST onWDCB ([removed] FM in
Chicagoland, [removed] everywhere).

And if you missed our 450th birthday tribute to WIlliam Shakespeare on last
Saturday's show (with John Barrymore, Rosalind Russell, Richard Widmark, Andy
Griffith-yes, Andy Griffith-and more), it's available for streaming any time
this week at [removed].

Thanks for listening.

Subject: Article now available about Empire Builders
 series

Anyone interested in obtaining a copy of a 40-page article on the Empire Builders radio series (1929-1931) can now do so.

Follow this link to my (relatively) new blog about the series:

Be sure to browse around the blog for more info about individual episodes, trivia, etc. Please post your comments or questions, or even just say hi and let me know you stopped by.

I've added a "follow by email" link if you care to subscribe to get fresh content as it is posted. I'm trying hard to stay on track to post something each week about the episodes that aired 85 years ago. (This blog writing is a little more work than it looks!)
