This is what is known as an "easement" on the property. It does not
actually convey ownership.

It's a nice try, but no way, Jose. "Adverse possion laws" are part of common
([removed], unwritten) law -- the law of custom, usage, and precedent; copyright
by contrast is a part of the statute ([removed], written, officially enacted by
the legislature) law -- and a FEDERAL written law, at that. Statute law
ALWAYS takes precedence over common law, unless is specifically says
otherwise. And in this case it actually CONFIRMS its superiority to the
common law by outlawing "common law copyrights".

Subject: Dixie Network
In going through the Marine band archives, regarding their network
shows in the 1930s, I occasionally run across a program broadcast on
"the Dixie Network" which is also referred to as "the southern network."
This network is unfamiliar to me. In googling it, I find references
to a Dixie Network, headquartered in Tennessee, beginning in the 40s
and consisting of a few small station affiliates. I can't find an
affiliate in Washington, DC which would have been necessary to
handle these Marine broadcasts, virtually all handled as remotes from
the band headquarters.
Any Digesters know anything more about this network?

Subject: John J. Anthony
Does anyone know if the "guests" on Anthony's advice show were real, or
actors hired to represent the people who wrote in to the show? If they were
real, it seems to me that would limit the area they could draw from. I
doubt they could have had the budget to bring people in from all over the
country.

According to the stuff I had read when taking music courses back in high
school, it wasn't WA Mozart who was the spendthrift, but Constanza!
