Subject: Basil Rathbone's Inspector Burke of Scotland Yard

The 2005 Christmas Annual of the Baker Street Journal contained an article
entitled "The 2005 Christmas Annual: Once a Week in Baker Street: The
Boucher-Green Years" by H. Paul Jeffers. In it, it was stated that the
Inspector Burke shows were found and would be released commerically on CD. I
don't think they ever were, and I wonder whether the author confused the
Inspector Burke shows with John Stanley's second season as Sherlock Holmes,
which was released on CD.

Subject: Ed and Zeb

Does anyone have information concerning a possible Ed and Zeb program in late
1939? I have a letter from October 25, 1939, written by a member of a band
scheduled to do an audition for it. All he states is "We're enthusiastic
about the forthcoming 'Ed and Zeb' audition." Nothing came of it as the
project is never mentioned again in the band's extensive surviving
documentation but I'm still curious about what show the writer may have been
referring to. They were in [removed] at the time. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Ryan

I just got my hands on a couple of Harold Culver's performances as Jud Barnes
in "Defense
Attorney". I must say, that they were exceptional! He and Mercedes
McCambridge's
chemistry was evident in each scene. If anyone ever gets the opportunity to
hear one of
these performances, I'd suggest that they NOT pass it up! It's really good.
