Subject: Whoops, my mistake on 1938 radio homes

I am so sorry for my mistake yesterday! With [removed] million [removed] families in
1938 and 25 million having at least one radio set, the correct percentage of
Americans with at least one radio in 1938 was [removed], NOT 70 percent as I
first stated. I must have hit the wrong keys on the calculator to make that
mistake. I am so sorry. So, the PBS show last week on the "War of the
Worlds" broadcast was in the correct range, as by Halloween of that year, the
percentage of radio homes may have edged upward from 79 to 80%.

Again, my apologies for the incorrect figure yesterday from 1938, I feel
terrible about it.
