CBS Radio Workshop - "I Have Three Heads"
it's a show about radio production as told by 2 Ampex tape recorders
There's another one or two I forgot: a wartime "Columbia Workshop" piece called "Radio Primer."
It's a satirical musical about the ABC's of radio with some memorable songs and some
great lines. ("If only one million people hear you, you're talking to yourself.")
There's also the 1953 "Life Story of Amos and Andy," in which Freeman Gosden and Charles
Correll re-enacted how they got together and began in radio.
And I believe the game show comedy "Champagne for Caesar" was done as a "Screen
Directors' Playhouse."

A comment in today's digest reminded me of something I've been meaning to
ask for quite some time. I, too, have seen film clips of some Command
Performance shows as well as Strictly GI and GI Mail Call. Are there
complete films of these shows? Something other than clips?

Another series that concerned someone on the radio was "Stand By For
Crime" a syndicated series in 1953.
B-Movie stars Glenn Langan and his gorgeous wife, Adele Jergens,
played the respective leads of radio crime reporter "Chuck Morgan"
and "Carol Curtis," his gal Friday. Morgan's radio show had the same
name as the series, "Stand By For Crime" and it aired on a mythical
radio station in Los Angeles, KOP. Most of the episodes started and/
or ended with Chuck at the microphone of his fictional crime news show.
Approximately 40 episodes were produced, about half of which are in
current circulation. For more info on that series, check out the
chapter entitled "More Than Just a Secretary" in my book, "Private
Eyelashes: Radio's Lady Detectives."
