		Ryan,
Wikipedia is correct.
Bill Conrad appeared several times under this name. Other CBS
actors, Vic Perrin, Jeanne Bates and others also used other names.
My memory that Conrad used this name in the program, The Whisper.
Look for:
The Whisperer from 07/08/51 Episode (01) Tea Time For Teenagers.
My memory is that others used alias's in both Have Gun, Will Travel,
and Frontier Gentlemen to name a few.
I asked Herb Ellis about this but he wasn't sure why it happened,
only that it did from time to time.
We did speak with Bill Conrad on a few occasions, but never thought
to ask him about this issue.

In Digest #152, RyanO said of William Conrad,

he appeared as William
Conrad in all of his CBS appearances, but as Bill Conrad on NBC. Can
anyone point to any of Conrad's credits as Mr. Krelboyne?

Great question. I've wondered about this also.

I was amused to hear a recording of a 1954 NBC appearance by Mr. Conrad
which he is credited as the character he played! The episode is Crisis
At Easter Creek from The Six Shooter. Conrad's voice is unmistakable as
an outlaw called Red Eye Kirk.

At the end of the episode, the announcer says, "Others in the cast were
Virginia Gregg, Marvin Miller, Ted de Corsia, Robert Griffin,
[removed](pause)...Red Eye Kirk."

I suppose this was for contractual reasons and I'm guessing the pause
was sort of a wink to the audience because fans of radio westerns in
1954 would recognize Conrad's voice.

If anyone would care to name some, I'd be interested in other NBC shows
that Conrad or Krelboyne appeared in. I think he played a drug dealer in
a two-part Dragnet episode but I don't think I've heard him on many
other NBC radio shows.

Thanks.

Friends and enjoyers of OTR,

My children (ages 6, 7, 9, and 10) all love old radio shows. Their
favorites are the Shadow and the Mel Blanc Show, though they also get a
kick out of Lum and Abner, Green Hornet, and many others. last month,
my son wrote a script for his own radio show. We recorded it, added
sound effects and even a good-old laugh track. Since then, the kids
have recorded a second show. They want everyone to be able to hear
their shows, so we posted them free to listen to online.

If any of you decide to listen to these two short episodes (6 minutes
and 13 minutes), I--as a proud father--would appreciate it.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled emails.
