Subject: Australian Shadow

In issue 32 Anthony Tollin asked if Richard Ashley who played The Shadow in
the 2nd Australian series was still alive, sadly no, I have just had it
confirmed.

Anthony, Lloyd Lamble was interviewed in 1994 and the interview did include
his time as The Shadow. I haven't heard the interview, it is held at the
National Film and Sound Archives in Canberra and I will see what I can do
about listening to it next time I am there.

I have started catching up with children of Australian radio actors and some
are writing bios for me and discussing their memories of their parent/s in
radio as well as supplying radio related photos from personal collections.
I have also been able to supply them with material they don't have. I have
spoken to one of George Edwards daughters and will hopefully be catching up
with the other surviving daughter shortly, who lives overseas.
