I was thinking about going myself , particularly to get a chance to meet our
own Hal Stone . Then I noticed Hal wasn't going ! I was worried about you
Hal (if you are reading this ). First I noticed that Hal was not posting as
much and then when I saw that he wasn't going to REPS I was a little
concerned. In the past when one of our OTR friends started to "disappear"
as much from the public arena it was usually indicative of a health concern
or something just as dubious.

Then I read about the home remodel . I was relieved to learn that Hal is
just one busy man .
Well , Mr. Stone, I'll catch you at another convention at another time .
While I will certainly miss Hal's appearance at REPS I guess I should grab
a last minute ticket to meet Martin Grams and the old curmudegeon Charlie
Summers himself. If you happen to see me wandering around it's because
the
event is sold out and I am trying to buy a ticket from a scalper.
Fortunately ,. I hear there is still room for some of the really great
events so do
not expect to find me wandering. I will most likely be found sitting down
somewhere listening to a panel or a great recreation .

Catcha there.

In the 1960s New York's Lambs Club had a weekly "Tuesday night at the
Lambs" cabaret featuring new talent. A very young Gabe Kaplan was
introduced to the audience one evening by none other than Harry "Can You
Top This" Hershfield. Gabe was the hit of the night and Harry prediced he'd
go very far. How right the old man was.

That is indeed he -- Charles J. Correll Jr., who was "Andy's" oldest son.
He won an Emmy award for his work on that miniseries, and went on to a
distinguished career as a director in television. He died of pancreatic
cancer just a few weeks ago.

In his youth he'd wanted to be a rock musician -- and in the mid-sixties
he played drums in a California surf band called "The Cornells", along
with the sons of Art Linkletter, Dennis O'Keefe, and Loretta Young.
Charlie Sr. had also played drums as a hobby thing, so this is once
instance in which he did, in a way, follow his dad's footsteps.

Subject: My client Curley

I turned my car radio on yesterday just in time to hear the end of a
segment about Norman Corwin's "My Client Curley (about the dancing
caterpillar) on All Things Considered. I was just wondering how that came
up. They were just concluding the segment, so I didn't catch much of it.
Did anybody else hear it?

Biff Bradley - Pepper Young's Family
Curt Bradley - Pepper Young's Family
Don Bradley - Glorious One
Jake Bradley - Glorious One
Judith Bradley - Glorious One
Susan Bradley - Glorious One
Governor Bradley - Little Herman
Helen Bradley - Woman In White
Jeff Bradley - The Romance of Helen Trent
Lydia Bradley - The Romance of Helen Trent
Jim Bradley, Jungle Jim
Mr. Bradley - The Aldrich Family

I hope that your Bradley is among this list.

Gotta dust off those 78rpm's. I think I'll start off with "South Side
Poker Game" ( or a title that sounds like that - hate it when the memory
fizzes out on me). Then pop in an episode or two of the Phil Harris/Alice
faye Show.
