Donald Buka, a veteran stage actor who toured with the Lunts
and acted opposite the likes of Helen Hayes and Bette Davis,
died on July 21 in Reading, MA. He was 88.
A memorial service is planned for the fall in Manhattan.
ALSO: From Randy Larson
I was just informed that Jack Bivans died late last week (8/13/09). He
made one memorable appearance at our convention a few years ago as part of the
Chicago group. He was a regular on Captain Midnight, Ma Perkins and
appeared in thousands of other broadcasts.
Jack would have been 84 later this month. His sevices will be held on
Tuesday, 8/18 from the Stenke Funeral Home, 515 Center Street, in Lake Geneva,
Wisconsin. Further information may be obtained from his niece, Kim Muir, at
262-657-0887.
