Bing's 15-minute shows from CBS after the demise the half-hour format. They obviously have access

How about Lou Genco and the late Bill Pfeiffer who began this internet Old
Time Radio Digest back in 1994 and Charlie Summers whose dedication has kept
this thing going since Bill's untimely passing.
And how about Elizabeth McLeod who has forgotten more about OTR than many of
us will ever know.

I came across a dozen Old-Time Radio answering machine messages on a CD and
was wondering if anyone knows who made these and when they were made? I
find them amusing, but my curiosity is getting the better of me.

Jim Beckerman's great article about how George Lefferts started
modern, adult broadcast science fiction entertainment with Dimension X
and X Minus One is featured in today's edition of The Record
(Hackensack, NJ).
It is an interesting article, but it has one glaring factual error.
The stories from Dimension X and X Minus One did not come from the
magazine Amazing Stories. Stories from Dimension X came mostly from
Astounding Science Fiction, as is credited in the show's openings.
Some early episodes of X Minus One also credited Astounding, but most
credited Galaxy Science Fiction.
