Subject: Norman Corwin, A Plot to Overthrow Christmas

If you're in southern California and within the reach of our PBS station
KCET, channel 28, here's some information.

Last night I watched an interview with Norman Corwin which included a 1969
table read and broadcast of "The Plot to Overthrow
Christmas." For radio fans this is a must-see! I've checked and it will
be repeated on Sunday Afternoon, May 23 at 1 pm. The cast includes
Parley Baer, Jeanette Nolan, Karl Swenson, John McIntyre, Alan Reed
Sr., Byron Kane, Jerry Hausner, Steve Franken, with Ray Erlenborn doing
live sound effects. And it's fun to watch Norman Corwin directing and
throwing cues.

I don't know if other PBS stations will show it or not. Check your local
schedules. I definitely recommend it!

Barbara

[ADMINISTRIVIA: Based on a hasty web search, KCET is apparently the _only_
PBS station in the country running this. Speaking only for myself, I _really_
would like to see this, so anyone within range of KCET who has one of those
new-fangled video recorder thingies is encouraged to record it and send me a
copy. Really. I'm not too proud to beg, if I [removed] ;) --cfs3]
