Jay Hickerson was one of the people who inspired me to
get interested in OTR. Whenever I asked a question of him
about anything, he'd write back with a prompt answer. I will
always be grateful for his assistance, friendship, and mutual
respect. He is, without doubt, one of the most knowledgeable
people I've ever known.
Take care Jay, and hang in there! I'm praying for your
swift recovery!

Subject: Cinnamon Bear script
Hello,
Does anyone have a Cinnamon Bear script, preferably the first episode? I've
looked online and there doesn't seem to be one. I gave my niece the CDs two
years ago when she was five and she liked them. I'm seeing her this
Thanksgiving and I'm thinking of doing a recreation. Contacting me offline
is OK.
Regards,
Steve Dillie

Does anyone know where I can get a complete log for Quiz Kids (June 28,
1940-October 6, 1951)?

Subject: Hal Kanter & George Ansbro
We sadly note the deaths of two more radio greats. Announcer George Ansbro
died November 5 at age 96 and writer Hal Kanter died November 6 at age 92.
I had the privilege of meeting and interviewing both gentlemen at the Friends
of Old Time Radio convention in 1999. Mr. Ansbro was 84 when we spoke for 51
minutes and Mr. Kanter was 81 at the time of our 78 minute conversation.
These interviews, recorded for my "Those Were The Days" radio show, may be
heard anytime at [removed] Just go to "Interviews" and click
on their names.
They are among some 200 we had with the stars of the Golden Age of Radio.
About 125 are presently available for listening on demand and a dozen more
are added each month.
