I have just discovered that WAMU has an OTR program called Big
Broadcast. It features 4 hours of programs and is available archived
on-line. Haven't had a moment to listen to it [removed]

[ADMINISTRIVIA: Um, yeah, The Big Broadcast has been around for a little
while; I have reels recorded of the show when John Hickman was hosting. He
started the show in the 1960's as Recollections. It's now hosted by Ed
Walker, one of the Joy Boys and all-around nice guy I've met a few times over
the years at various OTR gatherings. It's a Sunday Night staple in the [removed]
area, and available on-line at [removed] as Joe noted.
While we're mentioning OTR shows available world-wide on the Net hosted by
subscribers to the Internet OTR Digest, don't forget WBAI's Golden Age of
Radio, hosted by my buddy Max Schmid - another Sunday night routine, this
time for folks in the New York area. (Since they're on at the same time, I
have to cheat and have the server stream-write both so I can listen.) Hit
[removed] for the details and the last show archived for a week.
Of course, Saturday afternoons there's Chicago's Those Were the Days,
originated by legend Chuck Schaden and now hosted by Steve Darnall. [removed]
for the live feed, archives at [removed], and thanks for reminding
me I missed last Saturday's show - know what I'm doing this afternoon!
There are more; Barbara Sunday and Bobb Lyons, the Gassman brothers, and
more, but I think we need a a special issue to list them. We'll deal with
that after I talk to you about the issue I wanted to put together with a
list of clubs, which won't happen until after I clear some other projects
from my plate.
Thanks, Joe, for giving me the excuse to name-drop. ;)
Oh, one more thing - I hope to be making an announcement soon about a new OTR
show, co-hosted by a certain young [removed] --cfs3]
