In my further rummaging on the web about Wurlitzer pipe organs at radio studios
I found the the following link listing possibly ALL of them.
[removed]
As I recall, only NBC in Los Angeles had a Wurlizter grand pipe organ located
in Studio G. It was usually played by Paul Carson (google Paul Carson,
oranist) to supply the musical interludes for Carlton E. Morse's "I Love a
Mystery," and "One Man's Family," as well as his own musical show "Bridge to
Dreamland." Of course there had to to be other units as well situtated at
broadcasting sites
all over the country. See link above.

Conrad Binyon

Subject: Dragnet scripts and other Dragnet questions
Greetings All
I usually just lurk and rarely submit anything to the digest (I haven't for
about 8 years), but I have a couple of questions about Dragnet, and thought
I'd approach the experts. I've just completed listening to all of the
Dragnet that I have in my collection (in order), and was curious about the
scripts for radio versus television. A couple of years into the series,
George Fenneman would say something like "and watch an entirely different
Dragnet on NBC". Did they ever reuse the radio scripts for the television
episodes or vice-versa? I would think they could adapt scripts for one media
to the other with minimal work, and if they aired them far enough apart, they
probably wouldn't be noticed.
Also, were all of the scripts taken from real-life accounts from the LA
police records? Did they ever use crimes from other cities' police
departments? Finally, did people ever come forward saying "hey, I knew that
guy, but his real name [removed]"? Any information would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Ron Vickery
