The SPERDVAC convention is shaping up to be another blockbuster event for Old
Time Radio fans.
There is a flier and registration form on Charlie's blog at

If you can join us we can guarantee you a fabulous weekend.
Many more goodies will be added as we get confirmations from our guest. We
will keep you posted.

Is my memory correct on this? Was Nixon the last president to really use
radio often, and for purposes other than just "throwing one to the radio
boys"?
Well keep in mind there was Jimmy Carter's three hour call in show, hosted
by Walter Cronkite, that aired in 1977. But that may not count as radio only
since PBS had a camera [removed] if I recall, it was tape delay and the
radio portion was live.
Then again maybe it should count, since President Obama's addresses aren't
radio only either, they're visual and on Youtube.
