Latitude Zero was a GREAT pilot episode! From what it laid out, I sure would
have loved the series. But for whatever reasons, nothing remains but the
pilot.

If you dare, there is a 1969 MOVIE based on the radio series (both written by
Ted Sherdeman) - a Japanese Toho-type affair, starring Joseph Cotten and
Cesar Romero (!), very juvenile and overall rather [removed] that
radio is better. There is a review and some screenshots here:

better special effects than this movie! But it does give an idea of some of
what was probably presented in the radio [removed]

Wonder if any scripts exist?

EDDIE HUBBARD & THE BROWSERS: "AND THE BAND PLAYED ON"

it's Big Band fun time again with the Browsers from February 20, 1999.
We get to match our trivia knowledge of the Big Bands with Browser
experts as they challenge each other with such trivia as naming Frances
Craig's million sellers, the century that "And The Band Played On"
appeared, Claude Thornhill's second biggest hit, bandleader Abe Lymon's
real name and the instrument he played, who else besides Vaughn Monroe
recorded "There I Go," naming song titles with two words starting with
"F," and comparing numbers of recordings made by Frank Sinatra and Jack
Leonard with Tommy Dorsey.

Phil's "Phooler" involves a female singer performing the song "So You're
the One." [Hint: She sang with a sisters group!] And geography enters
the picture with a challenge to tell the location of Capistrano
mentioned in the song "When the Swallows Come Back to Capistrano."

Tops among recordings on this show for me are two hits from 1941: Guy
Lombardo's "And the Band Played On," number 6 on Billboard, and Vaughn
Monroe's great "There I Go.," number 16 on Billboard. Close behind are
Harry James' "Flatbush Flanagan," Margaret Whiting's "Oh, But I Do," Abe
Lymon's "Twist of the Wrist," and Claude Thornhill's "Sunday Kind of
Love" with Fran Warren on the vocal.

To add my own bit of trivia, "And The Band Played On" was featured in
films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train" in 1951.

In addition, Eddie plays Extras "Classical Gas," "In the Misty
Moonlight," Two o' Clock Jump," "The Glory of Love," and "The Continental."

All in all, great music and great fun!
