Long time OTR fans like DON MARIS ( of Remember Radio back in the 1970-80s)
and BILL CAMPBELL will be on hand to discuss and offer radio premiums and
radio magazines.

If you are located near Oklahoma you should come and see why this show is like
no other! All our dealers ( 33 of them) will be offering old paper americana

In Issue #161, Ted Kneebone listed a few of his favorite OTR programs. Thanks
so much Ted. (Ted, I still treasure the Josef Hoffman Bell Telephone Hour and
NBC Symphony Orch. tapes you sent me several years ago.)

I'm interested in favorite programs of all types--not just religious shows.
(For example, some of my favorite OTR programs are Voice of Firestone, Yours
Truly Johnny Dollar, Gunsmoke, Have Gun Will Travel, and Topper.)

Here's one example of one of my favorite programs (I have others that I will
add):

Family Theatre often has wholesome dramas that explore issues that are
still relevant today. (For those interested, the expression "The Family that
prays together stays together" originated with this show.). There are so many
programs in this series that I love--Here are 2 of my favorites:

      "A Pardon for Tippy" (April 25, 1951--program #217)--When a young girl's
dog is taken to the pound, she asks the Mayor to issue a pardon so she can get
her dog back. Her naive belief that the Mayor can do anything he needs to do
that is right is so refreshing in our cynical era.

"Peppe Virgo" (May 30, 1951--program #222)--This program about
discrimination could almost be talking about the present time. A worker is
mistaken for someone else with the same name and blacklisted from jobs in the
food industry.

A lawyer takes his case to the Supreme Court--and wins!

What are your favorite programs--and favorite episodes? Why do you like each
one? What's special about it?

Steve
