Hello, again --

This is a little late to post, but I just read issue no. 160 this morning.
The "Spatula City" which is referred to by Stephen Jansen actually does
exist in southern California, and was featured in Weird Al Yankovich's movie
"UHF" around twenty (!) years ago.

Subject: Club information, FOTR Convention

Folks;

Haven't forgotten about the OTR clubs issue - it'll run after this week's
FOTR Convention. PLEASE contact any clubs you know about and ask them to send
their [removed] emailed with one club president who didn't know the OTR
Digest existed, surprising as that may be, so don't assume the club you
belong to knows about this.

I have gotten precous few responses as of yet, so please, clubs (from
small to large - this means you, SPERDVAC!), drop a short note to the Digest
describing your organization and where to go to get more information, and
I'll gather and run them all together in a special issue of the Digest.

And about the FOTR Convention, if you're going to be there make sure you
find me and say [removed]'m usually pretty easy to spot, what as routund as I
am hanging out around the coffee urns all morning, and this year I'll have
along my sound effects t-shirt so I can play my theme song before entering a
room. ;)

If you're not going to be there, it's your loss, because there won't be
any [removed] old-radio itself, it will slip into the mists of history
after this final great convention. If you can, at least stop in for the day,
meet the stars, and help us bid the convention a fond farewell!
