Subject: Truly, STEEL

Thanks for weighing in on the various DEAD MEN TELL NO TALES, Michael.

Yes, those postwar/last seasons of the SUPERMAN radio show sometimes have a
very "adult" feel for a "kid's" show.

And Jack Beck & Bud Collyer were pitch-perfect in delivering those serious
goods.

Best,
-Craig (always proudly a member of the "Supermen of America" club) W.

Does anyone have any idea whether there were any broadcasts
made on OTR by the individuals known as "Axis Sally" or "Tokyo Rose"
during the days when radio was king? BTW, who were they and did
we (America) have our own version of them? What name was given to
her/them?

Was "Tokyo Rose" ever given a Presidential pardon?

As always,

Kenneth Clarke

So it seems that the only show which rotated with Jack Benny was "Private
Secretary.

I seem to recall a more Benny-specific book suggesting the third show may
have been "The George Gobel Show"?? Apparently they did alternate at some
point, maybe near the end of Benny's alternate week days, before he went
completely weekly.
