Subject: We too will miss you Charlie
It is always sad when we lose someone we have come to know as a friend. =
I
never met Charlie and only communicated directly with him once or twice
since joining this list in the late 90s. Like others, I hope that this =
list
does not disappear. Facebook is wonderful, but this list is much easier =
to
navigate with a screen reader.
I'm glad to support the list in any way that I can. Charlie, enjoy your =
next
adventure.
Best Regards,
Michael Hingson

While the Old Time Radio Researchers do have a busy Facebook page, for those who are not interested in that social media platform we also run a more traditional forum at [removed] ([removed]) where fans post daily messages concerning old-time radio. Much of the chatter is related to ongoing group projects but there is a fair amount of general discussion as well. There's no cost and any fan of OTR is welcome to join us. We had been on Yahoo Groups since ca. 2003 but migrated last year when Yahoo began shutting them [removed] to see you there!Ryan Ellett

Condolences to the family of Charlie Summers. What a great service he provid=
ed over these many years.
I have been a member of this community for around 23 years. I loved that Cha=
rlie stepped in when Bill Pfieffer passed. It has been an internet hub for m=
y OTR news and interests.
Thank you and safe travels, [removed]

Hi Everybody,
I was talking to the Yesterday USA webmaster Don Richards . Does any one
have copies of old digest where Hal Stone, harry Bartell and many of our
radio historians posted great post? Don would like to sve them and he can
create a place on the web to make sure there are save for the future.
Charlie emailed me a few times saying he really did not have an archives of
them. Take care,
Walden
