Subject: The Passing of Cliff Carpenter.
I sadly note the passing of Cliff Carpenter today, January 9th, at 9:00PM
EST.
The Friends of Old Time Radio will remember Cliff for his many appearances
at Newark. Aside from his stint as Terry in Terry and the Pirates, Cliff
was a yeoman of radio, seldom playing the lead, regularly working in the
New York soap opera jungle, or as a character performer for Norman Corwin,
or for the last days of Radio, on Johnny Dollar and Suspense. Last seen on
the Jon Stewart show, to the last he never wanted to miss an audition. I
will miss him dearly.

Robert Everest posted about the 1943 program rebroadcast by the Baltimore
Sun over a local radio station (WYPR-FM).
It was actually rebroadcast twice. Once on Dec 20 and than again on Dec 24.
The full story of the program is available at:

I recorded the program (digital), and scanned the 2 articles published in
the Baltimore Sun.
