Subject: Gunsmoke Episodes
I'm trying to identify a couple of different Gunsmoke episodes which I
remember, but don't know the names of. I was hoping that someone here could
tell me the episode titles. I've tried the Barabas Gunsmoke book, but their
episode descriptions aren't detailed enough.
1 - Matt and Chester are staking out some holed-up bad guys, and encounter a
rattlesnake. Chester drives him away by spitting tobacco juice in the
snake's eye.
2 - A fugitive escapes from a second floor room. Matt pursues, but when he
gets outside, he finds that Chester has stopped the fleeing bad guy by
dropping a spittoon, chamber pot, or similar on his head.
Does anyone know the episode titles?
Thank you,
Chris Holm

Subject: IRS
There were two Jack Benny programs in the 50's with IRS agents. They
thought Jack was cheating himself because he didn't deduct enough for
entertainment. With a listed income of $250,000 he only deducted $17
for entertainment.

Subject: Fred Allen Episode
I was listening to an episode of Biography in Sound: Fred Allen last night.
In the opening of that show, they used a clip of Fred Allen describing his
birth. There was a joke about many changes and he said he was not referring
to the diaper. Does anyone know what show that was taken from? I would
really like to add this to my collection.
Thanks
Dave
