Folks;
First, let me apologize for not posting anything [removed] have
been pretty busy around Chez Charlie recently.
I admit it, this one isn't exactly a direct trip to TV, since Dick Tracy
was of course a newspaper strip years before its first radio appearance, but
I think it still qualifies. The episode I've posted, from December 19, 1951,
is titled "Shaky's Secret Treasure" and stars Ralph Byrd as the famed
detective.
If for no other reason, you need to watch this to hear the theme music
chosen from the music library they used; I think you'll find it very
familiar, but remember that this was 1951. This usage actually pre-dates the
more familiar.
The episode is in the Digest's Copy folder; drop me a note if you don't
yet have access. (Yes, it's completely free.)
Charlie
