Ben Ohmart wondered about OTR shows in which Alan Reed had starred.
"Life with Luigi" was one. He played the part of Pasquale.

Surely there were countless broadcasts of sports on old radio and new radio!
We heard our basketball kids play at the state tournaments via a poor
telephone connection to a local radio station. Boxing was something we
heard weekly. When a relative got the first TV in the family, we watched
the fight on TV, but listened to the blow-by-blow description from a local
ABC radio station. Football and baseball filled our airwaves. I only
listened to the basketball games, but many heard the other sports. Our
local Aberdeen station, KSDN, aired many live baseball games from wherever
the Pheasants were playing, reading the teletype play-by-play. Some
stations had the luxury of recorded sfx, but not KSDN. Nobody complained.
It took TV to give us golf, pool, poker, and other inactive sports. Someday
we will see tiddly winks and chess.

Subject: Corporal Fred
I was listening to a USO show from 9/13/43 featuring Jack Benny and others.
The show came from Egypt. The announcer for the show was Corporal Fred Foy.
My question: who was doing the announcing for the Lone Ranger during that
time?
