Subject: John Grant - A&C writer
I've ALWAYS wanted more info on John Grant, who wrote (or rewrote) most of the
material for Abbott and Costello in the films. Anyone have a non-internet
lead for him?
Ben Ohmart

Subject: Jiggs and Maggie
I am interested in learning if a radio program existed starring Jiggs and
Maggie. There were several Jiggs and Maggie movies made during the 1940's
starring Joe Yule as Jiggs. He was Mickey Rooney's father. Would like to
know how to abtain copies of the movies.

Subject: Fred de Cordova
At the risk of dropping names, I have to chime in on Fred de Cordova. He
was one of the very first members of the IJBFC way back in the early 80s, and
helped put me in touch with Mary Benny before the end of her life. Mary
almost never answered fan mail, but she did send me a very brief, one page,
handwritten note (which, now that I've seen her personal files, it seems
that she
almost never did).
I had the pleasure of interviewing him in his NBC office back in 1995 (as
Jack Benny Times subscribers know). I considered Fred a personal friend, and
he was one of the very finest gentlemen I ever knew. I still miss him a lot.
