Subject: Re: Ag news
Ted Kneebone commented and asked:
It is likely that all our neighboring states have farm news programs: North
Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Wyoming.
I wonder if states further east, south, and west have farm programs? And
north into Canada?
Don't forget about Montana, neighbor. ;-) Ag news is alive and well in
these parts. Taylor Brown has a distinctive voice, sort of the Paul Harvey
of the ranch and farm folk:

Subject: Comic Strip(s) and Radio
Joe Mackey's transcription of Those Were the Days has:
1943 - A comic strip came to radio, as Archie Andrews was heard on the
Mutual Broadcasting System for the first time.
Well, if it comes to that, Archie Andrews wasn't the only strip. There
was Smilin' Jack, Dick Tracy, Mandrake the Magician,. and, of course,
Little Orphan Annie.
