This program and The Bell Telephone Hour were established as "The Monday Night
of Music" on NBC, years before television. I was a kid in the forties,
profiting at the time as well as, it turned out, all through my life, because
my parents never missed a minute of these concerts, and I and my brother were
right there, too.
Yet another example of how much of a vital role radio played in our world.

Fans of OTR will be interested to learn of this new wonderful and creative
project to keep OTR productions alive during our current pandemic!
Actors from six different OTR Troupes across the US and Canada are performing
together online via video conference and posting them for free viewing on
Project Audion. This is the brain child of Larry Groebe of the Generic Radio
Workshop in Dallas Texas. It's vintage radio meeting modern technology. Watch
or just listen - search for "Project Audion" on Facebook or Youtube.
In the first production, you can listen and watch episodes of the mystery show
"Suspense" and the soap opera "Mary Noble, Back Stage Wife." The second
production was the terrifying and timeless Arch Obler play, "Special to
Hollywood"The upcoming third production will be of the classic 1937 Columbia
Radio Workshop's broadcast "RUR" which is the audio adaptation of the
historic 1920 sci-fi play which introduced the world to robots! It will
premier on Friday, May 29th at 9 [removed] EST. [removed]
