Subject: Peggy Taylor
A mention of Stan Freberg the other day reminded me of something I've been
meaning to ask. I recently listened to the run of Stan's great 1957 sketch
comedy series. Nearly all the shows featured a (non-comedy) song by Peggy
Taylor, a vocalist in the then contemporary style of Jo Stafford or Patti
Page. I'd never heard of Peggy Taylor before and haven't been able to learn
anything more about her beyond her regular role on Freberg's show. I'm
surprised, given the quality of her singing, that she doesn't seem to have
had much of a career. Does anyone know anything more about her?

Subject: Henry Mancini
I received this query the other day. I am not sure if there is a
connection to the series though I know Mancini was involved as music
director on a couple of other series. If anyone knows if the query below
is true, please email me. Feel free to include the digest if you'd like
so others can hear the answer.
>...as a fan of the film scores of the late Henry Mancini, I have
learned that around 1950 he scored some of the

episodes he scored, the dates they were

Subject: Jack Benny Film Clip
Does anyone out there know of the source of that fairly well-known Jack
Benny film clip of the broadcast of April 12, 1942? It's the one broadcast
from Camp Haan.
By source I mean, was it part of a short subject to be shown in theatres? A
film made for the army?
Also, does anybody know where I can obtain a very good copy of it (I have
one I downloaded from the Jack Benny Fan Club site, but the quality is not
too good)?
Thanks,
Sammy Jones
