Subject: Where did Victor stay
The Lone Ranger scripts were not very specific when it came to explaining how
Dan Reid's horse Victor was always available when he came out from school to
visit his uncle and Tonto. In the early episodes, Victor was indeed kept at
Mustang Mag's ranch, somewhere in west Texas. But in later years, Mag was
written out of the stories in favor of Clarabelle Hornblow and her
intellectually challenged foreman Thunder Martin. Most of the time, the
Ranger and Tonto had Victor stabled in a nearby town where Dan could
conveniently pick him up and manage to get into trouble in the first fifteen
minutes of the program.
